Kosmos III
Walldrawing in black lacker paint, 240cm x 140cm, 2008. Site specific work made in a private house at Hisingen, Gothenburg. The island and the city of Gothenburg has a history of ship construction and important harbour site. Several shipyards, among them Götaverken where ‘Kosmos III’ was built, were located in and next to the island. Refering to the past and present situation of the area, the piece connects the private sphere to a larger, communal society and experience. Partly chosen for its name, the motive of the image opens up for projection and the imagination of the spectator.
