This work investigated my identity in relation to a wider cultural context, through three videos depicting three different angles or pieces of the puzzle. A control room-like structure was made, to create an intimate environment where you could watch the films. The first video was a documentary made by the media students at my highschool, about the arts programme (which I was in). In it, we talk about expectations on the future and ideas about being an artist. The second one is a black and white silent video with scrolling texts describing twenty of my girl friends over the years. The last video was a slide-show with a voice-over, describing my work of the last year. This work was probably not very successful: my confusion at the moment is quite evident. But as a signification of a turning point, where I abandoned painting and ā€¯object-makingā€¯ for a more narrative artistic approach, it was important.
