21: 52 - Do you want to join us ?

In my work, starting in the everyday experience and environment, I collect and document ordinary, ephemeral and outmoded communication and phenomena in order to preserve and transform the way we perceive and evaluate them. This is conducted with a sensitivity which leaves room for details, banality and ambiguity. In the sculptural work ”21:52 - Do u want to join us?”, private text messages (”Are you here? ” / ”We’re coming with the last underground” / ”Oh, it’s starting now”) has been displaced into a public space and an ”eternal” aesthetics: the park and the memorial monument. As a result, a transformation of the meanings and interpretation possibilities of the texts and a relativization of values connected to different modes of communication takes place, which gives rise to new readings and perspectives on our contemporary situation and environment.
